The Hotel has a very good location in the middle of Stavanger shopping area and lots of bars and restaurants close by.
The rooms are very small. I found it hard to find a suitable place for my suitcase. Batroom is also a little small. Breakfast restaurant can be very crowded.
Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are well equipped and very clean.
I have been staying here for a few years now and the suites are showing their age. Walls are dented, the paint needs refreshing, there was dust on the baseboards and the carpets are getting worn. Time to update the rooms!
Convenient location, within walking distance of harbour & ferries, as well as the bus and train station. Boutique hotel - luxurious and cosy. Free internet downstairs and hot breakfast included. Very relaxing stay. Quite affortable. Heating in the room was excellent. Located near all the little boutique shops - however they were closed when we arrived and we were out hiking all day the next day - next time!
Only dislike was that we had to wait to chcek in as there was no one at reception. Also the room was smaller than expected - we were in an attic room, it was cosy - ideal for couples looking for a romantic weekend. There was tea in the room but no coffee - however I am sure if we had asked downstairs it would have been provided. A very nice hotel.
Comfort level was high, and finishing was to a high standard. Well stocked minibar and 'nibbles', which were a step above normal hotel fare. I also liked the library stocks, and the buffet breakfast was good. Well done.
Unfortunately the level of cleaning in my bathroom was not in keeping with the rest of the high quality (previous occupants litter in waste bin was not what was expected). Beyond this, no dislikes.
Welcoming, friendly staff, very comfortable room in an excellent location, good breakfast, and complimentary soup and bread in the evening was an unexpected nice touch.
Shower cubicle smaller than we were used to, could not access wireless internet with blackberry smartphone.
Very freindly employees and comfortable beds.
Way overpriced for what it has to offer. Buffet dinner which is mentioned in the description is one soup.
Breakfast buffet could be better (E.G., there was only milk "extra lett" (I.E., 0.7%). Rooms smaller than thought after reading description. We were unlucky with the room: to the road was very noisy.
Nicely designed and refurbished, looks neat and clean. Coveniently situated close both to marina, piers and city main outdoor activities
The restaurant very small and the breakfast quite poor. Staff works at the reception and in the kitchen at the same time.
The fake fire place in the sleeping room was noicy and you can not turn it off but to pull the key card which stopps everything else as well
Friendly staff, helpful reception desk, clean room.
The shower, a bit noisy (they should install double glazing windows) and do something with the TV chanels (only 3 available!)
Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated in contemporary style. Great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and to a good standard.
Few facilities, no lounge or bar area in the evening - as a single traveller, this would have been useful
Location, clean, simphaty of service
Like how warm and cozy it seemed to stay there. Quiet and private.
We liked the fact that it is close to shopping and other attractions.
It is a comfortable hotel with pleasant and helpful reception in a good location for a visit to Stavanger. Everything in the city is within easy walking distance. Unusually for this class of hotel in Norway, complimentary Tea and Coffee making facilities were provided in the room along with spare pillows and both these facilities were greatly appreciated. The free room wifi was a doddle to set up. It is a traditional city hotel in an older building but it has been refurbished recently and tastefully modernised with quality room fittings.
There was some noise from outside late at night, but this would probably apply to any hotel in Stavanger and is outside the control of the hotel.
